We’re thrilled to join in celebrating WSCC. They recently announced the
award of a $25,000 grant from Pinnacol Insurance which will provide a
scholarship for incoming female and BIPOC students to help cover the costs of
required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as boots, hand tools, and
weather-appropriate clothing. The goal is to reduce the barriers to
entry to construction apprenticeship education for interested students and
increase first-year retention rates, especially for those not traditionally
represented in the construction industry.
